Traveling with kids??....here is the checklist

Traveling with kids requires stringent planning. We need to have all things in one place. If we miss one required item, the entire day/trip may be spoiled.
Here is a basic checklist that is required.

  • Extra diapers
  • Wipes
  • Food (plan for additional two hours than estimated)
  • Hand towel or cotton towel
  • Mat/blanket(if you are going to any picnic spot where you want to sit)
  • Additional pair of dress
  • Toy, to keep the baby engaged
  • Water bottle, carry as many as you can
  • Baby carrier(optional)
  • Plastic bags, to dispose the diapers and other material.
  • Mosquito repellent cream, if you are going to a garden or trekking.
  • Hat/umbrella/raincoat according to the weather condition.
For elder kids
  • Band-aids/cotton, in case the kid gets hurt. Even you may need it sometimes.
  • Avoid using new shoes, as they might bite the tender feet.
  • Ball or any outdoor game item specially the ones that can be played as a group.
Have all the baby items in one bag and rest items in a different bag. Put the items at one place as you remember while packing, don't wait till the last moment.

Happy outing/vacation.

  5. Visited this place near Satara, called The Rural Door.
Its got the yummiest rural cuisine. Spicy and filled with flavour.

The place has many other interesting things to look forward to like its one of a kind photo booth with props and the terrace gardening workshop is what I enjoyed the most. They also have a heritage gallery full of knowledge about farming and interesting activities like pottery and cattle feeding. :)
